𝗕𝗜𝗗𝗔 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹

Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Ashik Chowdhury visited the Rajshahi Silk Factory on Tuesday.

During the visit, Director General of the Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board Toufiq Al Mahmud briefed the BIDA Chairman on the factory’s production activities, research and extension programmes, initiatives aimed at developing Bangladesh’s silk sector and the overall condition of the factory.

The Executive Chairman later toured the factory’s showroom, where he inspected a range of traditional Rajshahi silk products, including Garad sarees, designer sarees, printed sarees, two-piece outfits, Panjabi fabrics, Balaka silk and various types of than fabrics and purchased silk products.

BIDA Executive Member Humayun Kabir, BIDA Director General Jiban Krishna Roy, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Deputy Director Dr. M. A. Mannan, Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board Director (Finance and Planning), Director (Administration) Nasima Khatun, Director Reza Hasan and other board officials were present, during the visit.
