Two days long Textile Fest organized by Department of Textile Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology held at KUET on 22-23 March 2019. Students of textile engineering form different universities participated at the event in festive mood. The event was volunteered by KUET Textile Club. KUET Textile Club arranged accommodation and all logistic support for the students participated at the event from different universities. There was a Technical Seminar on “Prospect of Textile Sector in Bangladesh” by Engr. Mamun-Ur-Rashid, Executive Director, TeXco Tech. Engr. Mamun described the necessity of textile engineering for Bangladesh as textile is the core sector of the country. Engr. Mamun showed the scopes of working in different segments of textile processing and how textile engineers can add values.
The title sponsor of the event was IFIC Bank and media partner was Textile Focus. Students who won in different competition were awarded by prizemoney and certificates. The prize given ceremony was festive with the presence of faculties, students, participates, guests. Everybody present at the event expressed their satisfaction to be a part of such innovative event. The organizer informed that they will organize Textile Fest every year.
