Desk Report: CEMS-Global USA is organizing 3 concurrent and comprehensive international exhibitions serving the entire textile and garment industry of Bangladesh which will continue till September 3, 2022.
‘21st Textech Bangladesh International Expo 2022’, is the biggest and oldest international exhibition on the textile and garment’s industry of Bangladesh. In this exibition around more than 260 companies with over 500 booths are representing 12 countries.
In the inauguration ceremony Meherun N. Islam, President and Managing Director of CEMS Global, welcomed the guests and participants and said that ‘Textech Bangladesh International Expo’ could not be organized in 2020 because of COVID-19 and the exhibition sector has suffered greatly because of the pandemic.
“Now that the pandemic has subsided, CEMS-Global USA, is going to organize a huge-scale 21st Textech Bangladesh International Expo.”
Appreciating the organizers Chief Guest Golam Dastagir Gazi, Bir Protik, MP, Ministry of Textiles and Jute said, “I hope the exhibition will display value added products and solutions to boost economy and it will create opportunity for the industry.”
Faruque Hassan, President of the BGMEA highlighted that Bangladesh is an example of safest textile and apparel manufacturing industry with 167 LEED certified factories.
Mohammad Hatem, Executive President of the BKMEA said, “We have a strong backward linkage industry. Knitwear export is growing drastically.” He said, “Last 15 years Bangladesh didn’t face any political tensions and we are the one of the world’s safest sourcing point.”
