“Anwar Textile Mill Week is more than a company event; it is a platform to showcase Bangladesh’s textile capabilities to the global market. Many international buyers are still unaware of the country’s diverse manufacturing potential beyond cotton. This year, we are highlighting developments in polyester, sustainable fibers such as Filigen (made from fish scales) and pineapple fiber, as well as innovative fabric designs that reduce water, energy, and production costs. Our focus is not just on innovation, but on creating commercially viable solutions that can be adopted at scale. As one of Bangladesh’s most diversified textile manufacturers, with yarn dyeing, printing, solid dyeing, and fabric development under one roof, we hope this event inspires collaboration, knowledge sharing, and greater confidence in Bangladesh’s textile industry.” Said Faiza Mahmud, DMD of Anwar Group.

“Bangladesh’s textile industry is at a crucial stage and requires stronger government support, particularly in addressing gas supply issues and raw material challenges. With the right policy support, the industry can become even more competitive. At Anwar Textile, we have been working over the past three years to represent Bangladesh directly to leading global brands, and we are encouraged by the growing confidence and positive response from international buyers. We believe Bangladesh can soon reclaim its position as the world’s second-largest apparel exporter. This year, we are showcasing more than 1,000 fabric qualities, including around 100 new sustainable and innovative developments that demonstrate our commitment to value addition and the future of textile manufacturing.” Said Mehedi Hasan, Sr. AGM, Marketing & Business Development, Hossain Dyeing & Printing Mills Ltd.

“Anwar Textile Mill Week reflects our commitment to continuous innovation and sustainable growth. Through world-class fabric solutions, we aim to further strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global fashion supply chain.” – Management, Anwar Group of Industries.
