4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd Celebrated their LEED Platinum achievement along with USGBC and EnergySolve

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh based one of the sustainable readymade garments manufacturer and exporter, 4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd sister concern of Team Group is  officially(virtually) recognized as ‘LEED Platinum’ rated green factory with 83 scores by the U.S. Green Building Council.(USGBC) on 28 February at Team group head office in the capital.  team-group-4a-yarn-dyeing-leed-usgbcIn this event, the welcome speech by  Abdullah Hil Nakib, Deputy Managing Director, TEAM Group . Abdullah Hil Rakib, Managing Director, TEAM Group and Director, BGMEA received the LEED Platinum” Certificate from USGBC.

On behalf of USGBC (US Green Building Council), Mr. Mahendra Jayalath, Sr. Consultant & CEO, EnergySolve International handed over the Green Building “LEED Platinum Certificate Abdullah Hil Rakib, Managing Director, TEAM Group.

Abdullah Hil Rakib, Managing Director of Team Group said, I am very thankful to  USGBC-GBCI, EnergySolve International and my team for this remarkable achievement . Green is part of sustainability especially  for our upcoming generation’s livelihood, We have a plan to make my all-sister concern factories will be LEED certified by 2025. Bangladesh is now green industry moving ahead and more than 500 factories are waiting for green certification added Abdullah Hil Rakib

Gopalakrishnan P – Managing Director, GBCI – SEA & ME markets said, Bangladesh is one of the biggest market for us, Bangladesh has now highest number of green factories in the world. So Bangladeshi factory are now more compliant. He thanks to 4A yarn Dyeing and entire team for this remarkable achieving.

Santanu Dutta Gupta, Regional head USGBC-GBCI (east India, Bangladesh and Vietnam markets) said, his speech, Its a very big achievement for Bangladesh in 2022 .Bangladesh is a important market for USGBC-GBCI. He shared his presentation; Bangladesh has the highest number of green garment factories in the world. Recently Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has been honored with the 2021 USGBC Leadership Award. Bangladesh govt  awarded 15 RMG LEED certified green factories on behalf of their determination and contribution to saving the environment and creating occupation added Santanu Dutta GuptaleedMd. Abul Kalam Azad, General Manager (Group-Head of Engineering) of Team Group showcasing a keynote presentation on their green achieving  including energy, water, materials, innovation etc.

Mahendra Jayalath, Sr.Consultant & CEO, EnergySolve International said, congratulated  4A Yarn Dyeing MD and entire team for achieving this award . He shared the  4A Yarn Dyeing scoring parameters, EnergySolve International mission and  vision about Bangladesh market.

According to BGMEA, It  is the 1st platinum rated factory of the year 2022. Bangladesh has touched the milestone of having 157 US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified green apparel factories, the highest among any country.
