7th edition of BGMEA Cup 2022 kicks off

Desk Report: The 7th edition of BGMEA Cup kicked off at Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti Field on September 29. BGMEA President Faruque Hassan inaugurated the inter-garment tournament. BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Muzaffar Uddin Siddique Chairman, Board of Trustees. BUFT, Director of Giant Group Sharmeen Hassan Tithi; BGMEA Directors Abdullah Hil Rakib, Tanvir Ahmed, Imranur Rahman, players of the participated teams were present at the inaugural ceremony.

Mid and upper-managements of 16 garment factories in Bangladesh are participating in the BGMEA Cup 2022. They are – Fakir Fashions Ltd, Team Group, Babylon Group, Epyllion Group, Sayem Group, Snowtex Outerwear Ltd, Laila Group, Apparels Village Ltd, Comfit by Youth Group, Bando Design Ltd, Torque Fashions, .Amazing Fashion, Evince Group; Fariha Group,AKH Group.Kimes Corp.

The 16 teams will be divided into four groups. The group stage matches will be played at Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti filed till 15 October. The final match will be held at the Army Stadium at a later date.

Md. Imranur Rahman, a Director of BGMEA and Managing Director of Bando Design Ltd, is a passionate footballer and an organizer who initiated the corporate football tournament in the garment industry ‘BGMEA Cup’ back in 2016.
