A.M. Mahmudur Rahman elected Chairman of BGMEA’s Apparel Club Ltd.

A.M. Mahmudur Rahman, Managing Director of Friends Apparel Group, has been elected Chairman of the Apparel Club Limited of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

The announcement was confirmed through an official letter signed by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan.

A.M. Mahmudur Rahman also serves as the Managing Director of Friends Style Wear Ltd. and Winwear Ltd. He is currently a member of the BGMEA Standing Committee’s Trade Arbitration Board and previously served as an elected Executive Member of the same club, where he fulfilled his responsibilities with commendable efficiency.

He has also served as Chairman of the BGMEA Standing Committee on Market Development and as Co-Chairman for ILO and Labour Affairs. Additionally, he contributed as a member of the Utility Platform/Utility Development (UP/UD) committee.

A.M. Mahmudur Rahman has an extensive leadership background, having been elected as a Director of Uttara Club Limited for five terms, including two terms as Director (Administration). He is the former President of the Greater Chattogram Association in Gazipur and has served as a former Lieutenant Governor of Rotary Club – District 3281. He also held elected positions with the Gulshan Joggers Society and the Banani Society.

Furthermore, he has contributed as a sub-committee member of All Community Club Limited and is a former member of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI).

A.M. Mahmudur Rahman holds lifetime memberships in prestigious clubs such as Chattogram Club, Uttara Club, Chattogram Boat Club, Dhaka Boat Club, Gulshan North Club, Banani Club, Army Golf Club, and All Community Club.
