Tangail Textile Engineering College (TTEC) has once again demonstrated its commitment not only to modern textile education but also to the career development and creativity of its students. On May 20, the college campus hosted an inspiring Freshers’ Reception for the 16th batch, alongside a groundbreaking seminar titled “Weave Your Future: Career & Industry Insights for Textile Engineers.”

The initiative was led by the TTEC Career Club, in collaboration with several active campus organizations including the Photography, Journal, Research, and Cultural Clubs.
The day began with a warm and enthusiastic reception for the new students, attended by faculty members and students from the 12th to 15th batches. This was followed by the much-anticipated seminar, “Weave Your Future,” which provided attendees with deep insights into the realities of the industry and the wide spectrum of career opportunities available to textile engineers.
Chief Guest of the event was Engr. S. M. Abdur Rahman, Executive Director of SADIA GROUP and President of the All Bangladesh Professional Textile Business Forum (AOPTB).
Special Guest, joining virtually, was Md. Kayes Kawsar, General Manager (HR, Admin & Compliance) at Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd.
The keynote speech was delivered by Shawkat Hossain Sohel, Chief Designer at Unifill Composite Dyeing Mills Ltd. and General Secretary of AOPTB.
The program was presided over by Engr. Md. Selim Reza, Principal of TTEC.
Discussions covered vital topics such as the integration of modern technologies in the textile industry, realistic approaches to career planning, and future opportunities and challenges for textile engineers. Participating students expressed that the event broadened their perspectives and significantly boosted their confidence in planning for the future.
The lively participation of students and the dedicated efforts of the organizing clubs made the entire event vibrant and meaningful.
To conclude the day, the TTEC Cultural Club organized a captivating cultural evening featuring music, dance, and poetry, showcasing the artistic talents of the students.
