Desk Report: Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Thursday inaugurated the Abul Hossain Respiratory and Pneumonia Research Centre at Shishu Hospital in the capital donated by Unifill Group. At the event,Chairman of Unifill Group Abul Hossain donated Tk 1 crore 50 lac to make the research centre to the government treasury.
President of Bangladesh Children’s Hospital and Institute Prof Shahidullah presided over the event. , Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare Division Md Saiful Hassan Badal, Director-General of Directorate General of Health Services Prof Dr ABM Khurshid Alam, President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, Director-General of Health Education Division AKM Amirul Morshed, financier Abul Hossain Chairman of Unifill Group,Barrister M. Sakhawat Hossain, Director, Unifill Group Prof. Dr. MA Aziz MP;;Director of Dhaka Children’s Hospital Dr Md Jahangir and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
“On behalf of the health sector, an advisory campaign is being conducted to tell people to increase cleanliness in homes and to protect themselves from mosquito bites.”said, Health Minister Zahid Maleque
Abul Hossain Respiratory Center and Pneumonia Research Center was built with the financial donation of Mr. Abul Hossain, the founder and chairman of Abul Hossain Charitable Trust for better treatment of complicated pneumonia said, Barrister M. Sakhawat Hossain, Director, Unifill Group and Member Secretary of Abul Hossain Respiratory Center and Pneumonia Research Center.
From our Abul Hussain Charitable Trust and UNIFIL Group family, we are extremely grateful to the Children’s Hospital Authority for naming the center after my father, added Mr. Sakhawat Hossain.
