Acme Machinery Ltd. is a globally recognized leader in the manufacturing of innovative and sustainable textile machinery. With a strong commitment to environmental conservation, the company specializes in designing cutting-edge dyeing machines that significantly reduce water and energy consumption while minimizing carbon emissions. Driven by advanced technology and continuous research, Acme Machinery Ltd. has pioneered a new generation of dyeing machines that enhance efficiency, lower production costs, and promote eco-friendly practices in the textile industry.

By providing state-of-the-art solutions, the company supports garment manufacturers in adopting sustainable production methods without compromising quality or performance. With a customer-centric approach and a strong presence in key textile markets worldwide, Acme Machinery Ltd. remains at the forefront of revolutionizing the dyeing industry, ensuring a greener and more sustainable future for textile manufacturing.

During the DTG Exhibition, CL Chang, Managing Director of Acme Machinery Ltd. and Shah Noori Shahanshah, Managing Director of Leone International, stands as a leading force in driving dynamic leadership within textile machineries manufacturing sector, talked with Textile Focus about their machines and upcoming plan to support the BD RMG sector.

CL Chang, Managing Director of Acme Machinery Ltd., said, “Currently, water shortages, energy shortages, and environmental problems are major global concerns. Unfortunately, the dyeing industry is one of the largest consumers of water and energy, as well as a significant contributor to pollution. Therefore, the highest priority for dyeing machine manufacturers is to develop solutions that conserve water and energy while protecting the environment. For this reason, we have introduced a new generation of dyeing machines that can reduce water and energy consumption, as well as chemical usage, by more than 65%. Additionally, these machines help decrease pollution, particularly carbon dioxide emissions, by over 65%. This makes them the most environmentally friendly dyeing machines available today.

Traditional dyeing machines require large amounts of water to float and circulate fabric during the dyeing process. If the water level is too low, the fabric cannot move properly. As a result, most of the water used in conventional machines is not for actual dyeing but rather for fabric circulation. To address this issue, we have designed a next-generation dyeing machine equipped with an internal conveyor system. This innovation eliminates the need for water to move the fabric, relying instead on the conveyor. As a result, our machine significantly reduces water and energy consumption by more than 65%, as well as chemical usage and pollution levels, including carbon dioxide emissions. I am confident that this new generation of dyeing machines will be highly beneficial for the market in Bangladesh, as the country has a large and growing textile industry.”

Shah Noori Shahanshah, Managing Director of Leone International, added, “Our machines, primarily sourced from Acme Machinery Ltd., are recognized as the world’s most sustainable dyeing machines. These machines reduce dyeing costs by approximately 70%, save 80% of water and steam, lower carbon emissions by 68%, and cut electricity consumption by 70%.  The reason our dyeing costs are 70% lower is that this machine requires only one-third of the water used by conventional machines. While traditional machines consume 80-90 liters of water per cycle, our machine operates with just 20 liters. Additionally, for 1 kg of cotton yarn, our machine requires only 2 kg of steam, whereas conventional machines consume 10 kg of steam. In Bangladesh, especially in Dhaka, groundwater levels are rapidly depleting, making water conservation a critical issue. Our technology offers an environmentally friendly solution to this problem. Garment factory owners have a responsibility to protect the environment, and they should prioritize sustainability alongside their business operations.”
