Innovation and Product Range
From its main manufacturing complex in Golora, Charkhanda in Manikganj, ATML runs large-scale operations across all major production stages. The spinning division alone produces around 85 tons of yarn per day, including strong volumes of fancy and heather mélange yarns. Its portfolio covers a wide variety of yarn types such as cotton mélange, bouclé, SIRO, recycled blends, nappy, brushed, gas/singeing and multi-fiber combinations, responding to the growing demand for texture, innovation and sustainable materials. The Yarn Dyeing unit handles around 810 metric tons per month, alongside additional Fiber Dyeing capacity 165 metric tons per month, Nylon Dyeing capacity 45 metric tons per month, Space Dyeing capacity 45 metric tons per month. In weaving, the mill produces approximately 4.5 million yards of fabric every month, ranging from rigid and stretch fabrics to space-dyed, Tencel, modal, linen and recycled blends. Fabric dyeing and finishing also reach around 4.5 million yards per month, offering value-added finishes such as water-repellent, moisture-management, super-soft hand feel, anti-viral, wrinkle free, soil release and other specialized functional treatments.

ATML operates more than 85,000 spindles and is supported by modern manufacturing equipment and well-equipped testing laboratories to ensure compliance with international quality standards. More than 7,200 skilled employees work across its operations, maintaining quality control from fibre selection through to finished fabric delivery. Sustainability and Certification
Sustainability has become a defining focus for Akij Textile Mills Limited. Environmental responsibility is built into daily operations through a modern effluent treatment plant with a capacity of 5,200 cubic metres per day, which has been rated “green” by leading international buyers. The company has introduced smoke-neutralisation systems to reduce emissions and chemical use, as well as comprehensive resource-recovery facilities that allow reuse of caustic, cooling water and dye liquor. In renewable energy, ATML is already generating around 10 megawatts of solar power and plans to increase this to 15 megawatts, with the long-term goal of meeting a major share of its energy demand from clean sources. Its sustainability framework is supported by a wide range of global certifications and programmes, including OEKO-TEX, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, BCI, CmiA, BSCI, Higg Index and ZDHC. Looking ahead, the company has set clear 2030 targets to reduce overall energy consumption by 30%, increase renewable energy use by 40% and cut greenhouse-gas emissions by 32%.
