Alumni Association of Government Textile Engineering Colleges are trying for IEB accreditation

The Alumni Association representative of Four Government Textile Engineering colleges namely Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barishal; Pabna Textile Engineering College, Pabna; Textile Engineering College, Noakhali and Chattogram Textile Engineering college recently met the dynamic leader of textile sector Engr. Md Masudur Rahman, (Chairman, IEB Textile Engineering Division) for discussing the IEB accreditation process, requirement, policy and possibility on 13th February 2021 at IEB Building. Engr. Md Ashad Hossain (Vice Chairman, IEB-TED) and Engr. Md. Mamunur Nasim Sourav (Member, IEB-TED) were also present at the occasion.

Engr. Md Masudur Rahman, (Chairman, IEB-TED) assured the alumni association’s representative that IEB accreditation is possible for Government Textile Engineering Colleges as their curriculum and education system match the IEB requirement. Now Textile College representatives have to start the official procedure. He assured that he will conduct a virtual meeting with the Principals of Four Government Textile Engineering Colleges to discuss the subsidiary process. In the meeting, the Chairman of Textile Engineering Division assigned Engr. Md. Mamunur Nasim Sourav(Member, IEB-TED) as the Coordinator for helping these colleges for next procedures.

All the students of Government Textile Engineering Colleges are trying for IEB accreditation for the last couple of years. They are taking all necessary steps for being recognized by IEB. This meeting was the part of this initiative. Members of Alumni Associations of these campuses are very much hopeful for the successful ending of accreditation within a short time.
