This December, Arka Fashion Week is making a significant impact and captivating the city with
its energy and creativity. It stands as a magnet for youth culture and celebrates fashion’s transformative power. The vision of Arka Fashion Week (a not-intended-for-profit platform) is to help Bangladesh transition from exporting garments to exporting fashion, turning cultural heritage into a global asset. This shift elevates creative industries, enhances the nation’s global presence, and strengthens the country’s economic standing.

This Winter, Arka Fashion Week offers a platform to explore the world of fashion with an engaging and diverse lineup. With runway shows, masterclasses, and collections from top designers and emerging brands, it is a space for exchanging ideas, experiencing craftsmanship, and celebrating creative expression. Most importantly, it is an event where people express individuality, showcase personal style, and connect with Bangladesh’s growing fashion community.

This season is a tribute to Jamdani — to its heritage, its artistry, and its place in our culture.
From our branding and visual identity to the work of our artisans and live weavers, every touchpoint honours its story. Our student runway will showcase an upcycled Jamdani collection, and the venue will come alive with motifs and artwork inspired by this timeless craft.
This edition is themed across four days, each day highlighting a unique focus:
Day 1: Modern
Day 2: Heritage
Day 3: Sustainability
These themes not only reflect the diversity of the event but also underscore its dedication to
blending heritage, innovation, and eco-consciousness, making Arka Fashion Week Winter’25 a
dynamic space for inspiration and growth.

MARKETPLACE
The Marketplace at Arka Fashion Week Winter’25 is a dynamic hub celebrating the ingenuity
and craftsmanship of Bangladeshi brands and artisans. It showcases an eclectic mix of established names like Ami Dhaka, Kathal, and Inteblu alongside emerging labels such as DAANIA and Zuhrah creating a rich intersection of tradition and modernity. With sustainability as a guiding philosophy, the Marketplace emphasizes promoting homegrown talent and supporting small-scale entrepreneurs. Participating brands and artisans such as Living Blue, Denim Shenim, and Dhaka Waste Collective represent diverse facets of local heritage while incorporating contemporary innovations.
In alignment with Arka’s environmental values, this year’s Marketplace features 100% organic, reusable, and sustainably built stalls, reducing waste while encouraging responsible event design. These structures are designed to be repurposed for future cultural initiatives, minimizing material footprint and
reinforcing Arka’s long-term sustainability commitments. By offering these designers and creators a platform to connect with a wider audience, Arka Fashion Week Winter’25 provides critical exposure to budding entrepreneurs, bridging the gap between tradition and the global fashion landscape. The Marketplace is situated outdoors this year to accommodate a larger number of stalls, giving visitors the opportunity to explore timeless craftsmanship and contemporary ideas in an open and immersive setting. This lively segment highlights Arka Fashion Week’s dedication to elevating Bangladesh’s fashion ecosystem while fostering meaningful connections and championing sustainable practices.
