Desk Report: Bangladeshi based one of the largest knit dyeing manufacturing unit Arkay Knit Dyeing Mills sister concern of Palmal group received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certificate from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). This is the 1st Knit dyeing factory in Bangladesh got LEED certificate from USGBC.
The LEED certificate presenting the sustainable and sustainable development of Arkay Knit Dyeing. According to USGBC, LEED certifications Identify Arkay as a showcase example of sustainability.
Arkay Knit Dyeing Mills was established in 2013 and Palmal started its operation in 2018. Arkay Knit dyeing mills invest in conserving energy through the usage of energy efficient appliances like energy saving inverter, meter,LED light, Push bar tap, push bar. It has compliance certification from GOTS, OEKOTEX, RCS,OCS and membership certificate from BGMEA.
According to BGMEA, Bangladesh has now 150 LEED green garment factories. where, 44 are platinum-rated, 93 gold-rated and nine are silver-rated.
