The ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo 2026 (ASEE 2026) concluded successfully, bringing together leading policymakers, industry experts, innovators, and stakeholders from across the ASEAN region to explore opportunities in smart energy and energy storage. The event was held with the strategic guidance of the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE), which served as the Official Advisor, reinforcing the importance of regional collaboration in accelerating ASEAN’s transition toward a low-carbon energy future.

The expo commenced with an opening ceremony featuring a keynote address from Dr. Andy Tirta Tirta, Head of Corporate Affairs at ACE. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and strategic partnerships to support ASEAN’s energy transition and sustainable development goals. His insights helped set a collaborative tone for discussions among industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators attending the event.
A major highlight of the expo was the AI Energy Forum, which hosted a panel discussion titled Integrated Renewable & Storage Solutions for the Hyperscale Era. The session explored the integration of renewable energy and energy storage technologies to meet the region’s rapidly growing energy demand. During the discussion, Dr. Tharinya Supasa shared forward-looking perspectives on how advanced renewable and storage solutions can support ASEAN’s transition to cleaner, more resilient energy systems.

The summit segment of ASEE 2026 also featured a keynote presentation by Dato’ Ir. Ts. Razib Dawood, Executive Director of ACE, delivered an address titled “ASEAN Energy Future 2045”. His presentation provided strategic insights into the long-term vision for regional energy collaboration, highlighting the importance of policy alignment, infrastructure development, and cross-border partnerships to achieve a sustainable and interconnected energy ecosystem in ASEAN.
With ACE’s guidance and participation, ASEE 2026 successfully bridged policymakers, industry players, and technology innovators, creating a dynamic platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership development. The event reaffirmed ASEAN’s immense potential in the global smart energy and energy storage market, supported by abundant renewable resources, a clear roadmap for low-carbon development, and a strong commitment among regional stakeholders to advance sustainable energy initiatives.
Organizers expressed their sincere appreciation to the ASEAN Centre for Energy and all participating partners, speakers, and attendees for their invaluable contributions. ASEE 2026 marks another significant step toward strengthening regional cooperation and advancing ASEAN’s shared vision for a sustainable energy future.
