Inauguration Ceremony of Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA) has taken place in the evening of 3rd September 2021, at Uttara, Dhaka. Chief Guest of the program was Engr. Md Abdus Satter Sikdar, Director (P&D) & Project Director at Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTex), Former & Founding Principal of Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (SARSTEC), Barisal. Engr. Md. Mozibur Rahman, Former Principal of Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (SARSTEC), Barisal and Engr. Enamul Haque, Former Principal of Textile Institute, Tangail & Former Project Director of Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (SARSTEC), Barisal were Special Guests of the program. And the program was virtually presided by Engr. Md. Abdul Kader Bepari, Principal of Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College (SARSTEC), Barisal. Besides that, Chief Instructor Md. Nazrul Islam and Assistant Professor Md. Selim Akhter from SARSTEC also joined the program virtually.
At the beginning of the program, constitution of Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA) was read out by Engr. Abir Adhikary, Vice-President of ASA and Engr. Nahid Morshed, Secretary General of ASA. Later former students of SARSTEC & the honorable guests shared their memory of SARSTEC life and also their thoughts, hopes & suggestions about Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA).
“For last more than 5 years, SARSTEC has been contributing tremendously not only in textile based job sectors but also in other job sectors. With Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA), this contribution will only grow,” said Engr. Nahid Morshed, Secretary General of ASA.
“After 2 years of continuous struggles & so many meetings, Alhamdulillah we have been able to form Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA). Day by day, our family will grow & we will become stronger & more powerful. In-Sha-Allah, ASA will keep good relations with all other Textile Engineers’ Associations of Bangladesh,” said Engr. Zohir Uddin Mohammad Babor, President of ASA.
“The bond between the teachers & the students never get old. Our students are always welcome to knock us for any advice & support,” said Engr. Enamul Haque, Former Principal of Textile Institute, Tangail & Former Project Director of SARSTEC.
“I believe & hope with Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA), SARSTEC will become stronger & more glorified,” said Engr. Md. Mozibur Rahman, Former Principal of SARSTEC.
“Creating something takes a lot of hard-work, struggles & devotion. But after the creation, the joy is endless. My best wishes are always with SARSTEC as well as Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA),” mentioned Engr. Md Abdus Satter Sikdar, Director (P&D) & Project Director at BUTex and Former & Founding Principal of SARSTEC.
Later the newly formed committee of Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA), consisting of 35 members for the next 2 year (2021-23) was announced by the Chief Guest of the program, as following – President: Engr. Inauguration Ceremony of Association of SARSTEC Alumni (ASA) came to an end with a Cake-cutting & friendly Dinner program and the hope of making SARSTEC stronger & more dynamic.
