Nichem Industries was founded in 1988 with a vision to provide excellence in the reactive dyes segment catering to the textiles industry. Today, the firm has grown into a platform for innovation, customer-centricity, and global manufacturing standards.

Recently, Textile Focus conversed with Mr. Harshad Patel, Managing Director of Nichem Industries. During his conversation, he shares about the company’s key product strength, planning for the Bangladesh market and many important issues. Read the full conversation: –

Textile Focus: Could you please share your short introduction?

Harshad Patel: “Hello, I am Harshad Patel, Managing Director of Nichem Industries. Established in 1988, Nichem Industries has been serving the global textile industry for over three decades with high-performance speciality reactive dyes. We have 3 production plants in Ahmedabad, India with 15,000MT/Year capacity. In our infrastructure, we have four laboratories: R&D, Textile Application, QC, and Analytical Laboratory, which offer innovation and ensure quality consistency.
We have global footprint in more than 25 countries covering USA, Europe, Central and South America, South Africa, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

Textile Focus: How Nichem is supporting the textile sector in Bangladesh?

Harshad Patel: Bangladesh is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing textile hubs, and we are committed to supporting its continued expansion with high-performance specialty reactive dyes.
NICHEM’s primary objective is to introduce innovative dyes that cover the full color gamut while meeting the industry’s core requirements of sustainability, quality, and productivity.
We have launched a differentiated, cutting-edge solution designed to significantly minimize salt usage, wash cycles, process time, and water consumption.
NICHEM has also developed state-of-the-art solutions to address key industry challenges, including chlorine fastness, water fastness, PLF, and oxidative bleach fastness.

Textile Focus: How will the partnership between NICHEM and Welkin Textile Innovation Ltd. support the growth of Bangladesh’s textile industry?

Harshad Patel: The partnership brings together NICHEM’s innovative specialty dyes and Welkin’s strong technical expertise to deliver improved service, faster problem-solving, and optimized production processes for textile mills.
