AUSTTAA Organizes Lean Six Sigma Training Session at Intertek Bangladesh

The Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology Textile Alumni Association (AUSTTAA) organized a day-long training session on the topic of “Overview on Lean Six Sigma” on February 11, 2023, at Intertek Testing Services Ltd.
According to Mr. Mosannef Hossain Bhuiya, Training Coordinator of AUSTTAA, the organization is focused on skill development among its members and is dedicated to contributing to the Bangladesh Textile and RMG sector. The training session was attended by 40% of mid-level management and 20% of top-level management.

Mr. Saleh Rafiq Chowdhury, AGM of Merchandising at AKH Knitting & Dyeing LTD., expressed his pride in being a member of AUSTTAA, stating that the organization’s focus on practical skills development is essential to the industry’s success. Another trainee, Mr. Osama Bin Mustafa, Sr. DGM Quality Textile Division at UTAH Group, praised the organization’s efforts to provide training on quality sustainability and stated that Lean Six Sigma training is an important step in achieving that goal.

The training was delivered by internationally certified trainer Muhammad Mehdi Hassan, Sr. Manager of Business Assurance, Training, and Operation Excellence at Intertek. The trainer was impressed by the eagerness of AUSTTAA members and expressed his hope that the training will be put into practice in their field.
