Azizur R.Chowdhury to Join as a Speaker at Copenhagen Fashion Summit

Bangladeshi clothing manufacturer Azizur R. Chowdhury Managing Director, J.M. Fabrics Ltd sister concern of New Asia group join as a Speaker at Copenhagen Fashion Summit . Copenhagen Fashion Summit taking place on 7-8 October 2021.  He will  participating in a panel discussion with titled SCALE VS. CIRCULAR – The potential to scale recycling in Bangladesh.

Mr.Azizur joined the textile business in 2003 and spent the early years working in the factories focusing on the details of manufacturing. The group sales turnover at the time was $20 million which has now reached $360 million.

His strong focus on sustainability including co-generation, green factories and product innovations like Santoni seamless has thrust the group as a leader in high-value sportswear manufacturing. The next target is to establish post-industrial recycling and spinning, renewable energy and water reuse, to maximise circularity.

This year’s digital edition of the industry-renowned Copenhagen Fashion Summit – CFS+ will focus on the theme ‘Prosperity vs. Growth’. CFS+ will convene core stakeholders across fashion, interlinked industries, investment, NGOs and policy to explore how the industry can thrive today in favour of tomorrow.

The event will take place on 7-8 October 2021 and, for the first time, will welcome an entirely new line-up of voices to offer fresh perspectives and address a range of adjacent topics to drive bold dialogues.
