A delegation from Bangladesh visited the headquarters of specialty chemicals company RUDOLF in Geretsried, Germany, as part of a GIZ-supported knowledge exchange program focused on chemical management, sustainability, and industrial safety. The visit gave participants insights into product safety, chemical compliance, sustainability, certification systems, and environmental, health and safety (EHS) management in the European chemical industry.

As part of the program, participants attended expert presentations and toured RUDOLFβs production facility to gain practical exposure to chemical management systems and industrial practices. The knowledge exchange also gave participants an opportunity to discuss responsible chemical management and share experiences related to sustainability and compliance.
The programme was supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fΓΌr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The initiative comes amid growing international expectations for stronger chemical safety, environmental compliance and sustainability across global supply chains. For Bangladeshβs export-oriented textile and apparel sector, such knowledge-sharing initiatives are increasingly relevant as manufacturers and suppliers work to meet evolving requirements for product safety, responsible chemical use, and sustainable production.
The visit highlighted the importance of international collaboration and knowledge exchange in strengthening chemical management practices and supporting higher environmental, safety and sustainability standards across industries.
