Desk Report: Bangladesh Apparel Exchange is organising the 12th Bangladesh Denim Expo at Nabaratri Hall at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka today and tomorrow and the 3rd Sustainable Apparel Forum at Rajdarshan Hall at the ICCB today, a press release said. The BDE is to be held from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on both the days.

More than 79 exhibitors from Germany, Turkey, Pakistan, Spain, Portugal, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, China and Bangladesh are expected to exhibit their Jeanswear products.

This year’s theme centers on “beyond business,” and include a range of product displays from 79 exhibitors, as well as eight seminar sessions and two panel discussions on sustainability in the denim industry.
Policymakers, industry leaders, brand representatives and fashion campaigners from home and abroad are to participate in the SAF, another press release said.
Speakers at the SAF include adviser to the prime minister on power, energy and mineral resources Tawfiq-e-elahi Chowdhury, adviser to the prime minister on private industry and investment Salman F Rahman, commerce minister Tipu Munshi, state minister for labour and employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and principal secretary to the prime minister Ahmad Kaikaus.
