BGCCI Hosts Iftar Mahfil and Celebrates International Women’s Day

The Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI) organized an Iftar Mahfil alongside the celebration of International Women’s Day on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 at Radisson Blu Dhaka, bringing together members, diplomats, business leaders, and distinguished guests.

The event was graced by His Excellency Dr. Rudiger Lotz, Ambassador of Germany to Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he emphasized the strong and growing relationship between Bangladesh and Germany and appreciated the role of BGCCI in promoting business cooperation and people-to-people connections between the two countries.

BGCCI President Mr. Md. Rokonuzzaman, FCA, highlighted that the holy month of Ramadan teaches values of unity, compassion, and solidarity, which are important for strengthening partnerships within the business community.

The event chairman and the Sr. Vice President of BGCCI, Mr. Tariq Anwar delivered the welcome address, while Mr. Navneetha Krishnan, Vice President of BGCCI, concluded the program with a vote of thanks.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, BGCCI honored the women participants with flower bouquets presented by His Excellency Dr. Rudiger Lotz in recognition of their contributions.

The evening concluded with Iftar and dinner, offering participants an opportunity for networking and informal exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
