Graf, the world’s leading supplier of card clothing and combs for short- and long-staple spinning industries, as well as for producers and machine builders, continues to set benchmarks in textile machinery innovation.
Ahead of the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 exhibition, Textile Focus had an exclusive conversation with Simone Jeker, Marketing Manager of Graf Group, who shared insights into Graf’s latest innovations and the company’s perspective on the global textile machinery market.

Textile Focus: Could you please share with us the current scenario of the global textile machinery business?
Simone: The outlook for the textile machinery market is closely linked to the anticipated market recovery, which is influenced by ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
Textile Focus: The Bangladesh textile sector is now focusing on innovation. What are the latest innovations coming from Graf?
Simone: At Graf, our innovations are focused on enhancing both quality and performance. As the characteristics of raw materials continue to evolve, the spinning industry faces new challenges. Graf is developing solutions that significantly improve yarn quality—particularly IPI values—and optimize fiber utilization. Moreover, our technologies aim to reduce maintenance costs, ensuring higher efficiency and better economic returns for spinning mills.

A great example is GÜLLE Entegre Tekstil, which adopted Graf’s HYPERTOP C-60 Flexible Flat featuring a multi-zone setting pattern. This innovation enabled up to +0.5% good fiber savings without compromising yarn quality or requiring major machinery modifications. The result was reduced fiber waste, consistent IPI quality, improved fiber retention, and a faster return on investment.
Textile Focus: How do you view the Bangladesh market for Graf?
Simone: Bangladesh is a very important market for Graf. The country’s spinning industry operates at a high standard, and its shift from quantity to quality perfectly aligns with Graf’s vision for innovation. We are working closely with leading spinning mills in Bangladesh through field trials aimed at enhancing yarn quality, process efficiency, and fiber utilization.
