Delivering the keynote presentation, Muhammad Zulqar Nain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany, highlighted the dynamics, current trends, and future prospects of Bangladesh’s import‑export trade and investment. Emerging high‑growth sectors, including light engineering, semiconductor packaging, electric vehicle (EV) batteries, solar panels, and data centres, were the focus of the presentation.

The presentation drew significant interest from business leaders and investors, particularly through its comparative analysis of Bangladesh’s business and investment capabilities and the current government’s initiatives and incentives under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. A distinguished panel of speakers also expressed strong enthusiasm about various business and investment issues in Bangladesh.

The speakers included the Managing Director of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the International Market Specialist of the IHK, the Senior Vice President of ALTIOS, a representative of BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development), the Regional Manager for South Asia of OAV (East Asian Association), the South Asia Representative of GTAI (Germany Trade and Invest), the Director of WILO, the Managing Director of the investing institution OSPIG, and the Managing Director of local bank Sparkassen.

Representatives from 20 prominent companies and organisations from across the region attended the seminar.
