Groz-Beckert is the world’s leading supplier of industrial machine needles, precision parts and fine tools, as well as systems and services for the production and joining of textile fabrics. Its products and services support the fields of knitting, weaving, nonwovens, tufting, sewing and spinning. Member of the executive board Eric Schoeller shares details about the latest innovations and the Bangladesh market.

From October 28 to 31, 2025, the global textile industry will gather at ITMA Asia + CITME at the Singapore Expo, where Groz-Beckert will present its latest highlights and innovations across its six product areas – Knitting, Weaving, Nonwovens, Tufting, Sewing, and Spinning – at Hall 5, Booth B301.
Textile Focus: Could you please share with us the current scenario of the global RMG sector?
Eric Schöller: The global Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector is undergoing a significant transformation. After the pandemic-driven disruptions, the industry has largely stabilized, but new dynamics are shaping its growth. We see a clear shift toward nearshoring, automation, and sustainable production models as brands aim to build more resilient and transparent supply chains.
Consumer demand is also evolving — with a growing emphasis on speed, customization, and sustainability. This is pushing manufacturers to adopt smarter technologies, from digital knitting and sewing systems to data-driven quality management.
In short, the RMG sector is becoming more technology-intensive, circular, and collaborative, with innovation and sustainability now at the heart of global competitiveness.
Textile Focus: As a key part of the textile and RMG sector, what will Groz-Beckert be showcasing at ITMA Asia?
Eric Schöller: At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, Groz-Beckert will present innovations across all six of our core product areas — Knitting, Weaving, Nonwovens, Tufting, Sewing, and Spinning — under the theme “Precision and Sustainability in Motion.”
Visitors will see highlights such as our new LCmax™ energy-saving needles in circular knitting, delivering up to 20% lower energy consumption, as well as advanced solutions for flat knitting, warp knitting, and sewing automation. We’ll also showcase developments in nonwovens card clothing, tufting gauge part systems, and spinning components designed for longer service life and lower maintenance.
In essence, our booth at Hall 5, Booth B301 will demonstrate how Groz-Beckert continues to combine innovation, digitalization, and sustainability to shape the future of textile manufacturing.
Textile Focus: What are the key products that help the RMG sector reduce costs?
Eric Schöller: For the RMG sector, cost reduction mainly comes from improving efficiency, extending tool life, and reducing downtime. Groz-Beckert’s LCmax™ energy-saving needles in circular knitting help lower machine friction and power consumption by up to 20%, directly cutting production costs.
In sewing, our SAN™ series needles and the INH (Ideal Needle Handling) system help minimize needle breakage, improve process reliability, and save both time and material.
Similarly, in weaving, nonwovens, and spinning, our components are designed for long service life and stable performance, which reduces maintenance needs and waste. Together, these innovations help garment manufacturers achieve more consistent, cost-efficient production.
Textile Focus: How do you see the Bangladesh market for Groz-Beckert?
Eric Schöller: Bangladesh is one of the most important markets for Groz-Beckert, especially in the knitting and RMG sectors. The country has become a global hub for apparel manufacturing, with strong growth in both volume and quality. This creates a natural alignment with our focus on precision, durability, and efficiency.
We see great potential for continued collaboration, particularly as Bangladesh moves toward more sustainable and technology-driven production. Our goal is to support local manufacturers with high-performance products, technical expertise, and training — helping them improve productivity, reduce costs, and meet the sustainability expectations of global brands.
Textile Focus: As a key market, what are your future plans for Bangladesh?
Eric Schöller: Bangladesh will continue to be a strategic focus market for Groz-Beckert. We plan to further strengthen our local presence and customer support through closer cooperation with machine builders, distributors, and textile manufacturers. Our aim is to ensure that customers in Bangladesh have direct access to the latest Groz-Beckert technologies, technical service, and training.
We are also committed to supporting the country’s move toward sustainable and higher-value textile production. This includes promoting energy-efficient solutions and process optimization systems for sewing and garment production.
In short, our plan is to grow together with the industry — by helping Bangladesh’s textile sector become even more efficient, innovative, and globally competitive.
