According to the latest data released by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh, the country’s readymade garment (RMG) export stood at USD 9.97 billion during July–September FY2025–26, marking a 4.79% growth compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

During this quarter, the knitwear sector earned USD 5.58 billion with a 4.31% growth, while the woven sector fetched USD 4.39 billion, registering a 5.41% growth.
However, in September 2025, Bangladesh recorded a temporary decline in RMG exports. The total export for the month stood at USD 2.84 billion, reflecting a -5.66% growth. Sector-wise, knitwear exports were USD 1.63 billion with a -5.75% growth, and woven exports reached USD 1.21 billion with a -5.54% growth.
Industry experts note that this decline may be due to global demand fluctuations and shipment delays, but the overall quarterly performance remains positive.
