The first panel “The Growth of the Bangladesh Denim Industry through the Perspective of Denim Washing” set the tone for the 18th Bangladesh Denim Expo by reflecting on the remarkable evolution of Bangladesh’s denim sector, particularly through its world-class washing capabilities.
Panellists emphasised that Bangladesh now washes nearly half of the world’s denim—an extraordinary feat built on skill, scale, and sustainability. While celebrating past achievements and current strengths, the discussion highlighted the urgent need to invest in R&D and upskill the workforce. The vision: to empower the next generation of professionals who can lead innovation and elevate Bangladesh’s global reputation as a leader in denim washing.
