Ahmed delivered the introductory speech, emphasizing the workshop’s strategic design to reinforce BASIS’s commitment to enhancing member access to critical financial resources amid Bangladesh’s evolving economic landscape. He highlighted the primary objective of showcasing a variety of collateral-free loan options in collaboration with several banks, aimed at fostering growth and innovation within the local tech community.
The workshop featured comprehensive demonstrations by leading banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs), including BRAC Bank PLC, Prime Bank PLC, Eastern Bank PLC., Mutual Trust Bank PLC, City Bank, NRB Bank Home, NRBC Bank PLC., and IDLC Finance PLC. These institutions presented their tailored loan products, detailing application and documentation procedures. Bank officials also provided in-depth guidance on securing collateral-free loans, simplifying the path to financial support.
An intensive question-and-answer session further engaged participants, fostering a reciprocal and interactive atmosphere. Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Fakhrul Hasan, Vice President (Finance), delivered the closing remarks, reiterating BASIS’s role in ensuring members have access to vital financial resources to advance their business ventures. He noted that the workshop created a robust platform for engagement between members and financial institutions, fostering closer collaboration and integration.
