BBTEA distributes Iftar and Eid materials among poor people

Desk Report: The Bangabandhu Textile Engineers Association (BBTEA) distributed food items among 1000 poor and needy individuals marking the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr. They organized the distributing event at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) ground on 7 April in the capital.

BBTEA ensured that each packet contained a sufficient quantity of essential food items, such as rice, dal, chickpeas, semai, milk, oil, sugar, salt, onion, and potato, to meet the basic needs of the recipients.

The Honorable Special Guest Md. Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, General Secretary at Bangladesh Awami Juboleague said, “The distribution of food during Ramadan programs has brought smiles to the faces of needy people who are struggling, thanks to the wise decisions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The event was graced by the presence of Engr. Md. Masudur Rahman, Senior Vice President of BBTEA; Engr. Md Abdullah Al Mamun, General Secretary (Acting) of BBTEA; Prof. Dr. Shah Alimuzzaman, VC (Acting) of BUTEX ; Engr. Md. Kumruzzaman (Zaman) Khan;Engr Selim Reza along with many other prominent persons.

The program was presided over by the President of BBTEA Heroic Freedom Fighter Engr. Mozaffar Hossain (M.P). He said, “Rather than spending lakhs of money on iftar among themselves, the purpose of the event and holy month of Ramadan lies in distributing Iftar and Eid materials among the poor and needy.”

BBTEA has set an excellent example to distribute food items during Ramadan and Eid, which will establish a new cultural norm. Engr. Md. Masudur Rahman, Senior Vice President of BBTEA encouraged all organizations to follow their footsteps and extend a helping hand to those in need during this holy season.
