Staff Correspondent : Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) general members arranged a 2nd meet up on 6 th November at Nikunjo convention hall in the capital. More than 500 export oriented buying house owners were present at the 2nd general members meet up.
Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association(BGBA) is a self-disciplined, nonprofit and nationwide intermediary organization of Bangladesh Readymade Garment (RMG) sector. Now it has more than 1300 registered members and they are contributing to the RMG sector .
Md. Qayum Reza Chowdhury ,Founder President of BGBA were present as a Chief guest ;Basedur Rahman Chowdhury, Founder secretary general, BGBA, were present as a special guest; Haroon-Ur-Rashid, Senior Vice President BGBA ; BGBA members, Fahmida Akhter Shikha Jakera Khatun Jaya; Tanjin Ahmed ; Mr. Col. Mohammod Ahsanullah (Retd.) Mr. Md. Alamin Mr. CM Shaiful Haque ; AKM Saifur Rahman Forhad; Nargis Khan spoke at the event. BGBA members raising their voice on BGBA members services ,industry recent challenges and BGBA future plan.
In the members opinion, BGBA members urged following points to existing board and Advisers::
1.Needs newly Experienced & Young EC by election
2.Ensuring members facilities & activists
3.Need to develop BGBA constitution
4.Training & development for BGBA members company.
5.Need incentives from govt for export. and reducing AIT Tax
6.BGBA own office needs.
7.Ensuring buying commission from factory.
8.need to good relation work with RMG trade bodies
9.Improve negotiations power for ensuring the right fair price from the buyer.

Honorable guests expected, buying house owners are the real hero for RMG export and they are contributing to the country’s economy. Very soon will call an AGM and discuss how BGBA will be more united and ensure the right services to members. The BGBA members get together, ending by a light dinner with a cultural program.
