BGBA elects new leadership for 2026–2028 term

On behalf of the Election Board of the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), we are pleased to share that the BGBA Executive Committee Election for the term 2026–2028 was successfully held on Saturday, 10 January 2026, at the UCB Lounge, Uttara Club.

The election was conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and orderly manner, reflecting BGBA’s strong commitment to democratic governance and institutional integrity. A total of 513 general members actively exercised their voting rights to elect 8 candidates from among 15 contestants, while 13 candidates were elected uncontested in accordance with the election rules.

The entire election process was closely observed by representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), along with esteemed observers from key stakeholder organizations including BGMEA, BKMEA, BTMA, BAFFA, and others—ensuring full transparency and regulatory compliance.

The Election Board sincerely appreciates the active participation, cooperation, and discipline shown by the general members, candidates, observers, and all stakeholders throughout the process.
