The Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), led by President Md. Abdul Hamid, along with members of the Board of Directors, paid a courtesy visit to Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Minister of Commerce, on 21 September 2026.
The meeting focused on the development of Bangladesh’s RMG buying house sector and its role in the country’s international apparel trade.
The BGBA delegation highlighted the need for a strong and business-friendly environment for buying houses to support international buyer engagement, attract new export orders and expand market opportunities.
The association also discussed strengthening the sector’s operational framework, improving trade facilitation, supporting new buyer and market development, and enhancing coordination between government and industry stakeholders.
The meeting reflected BGBA’s continued efforts to maintain dialogue with the government and contribute to the long-term development of Bangladesh’s export-oriented buying house sector.
BGBA expressed its commitment to working with the government and relevant stakeholders to strengthen international business connectivity, expand market opportunities and further enhance Bangladesh’s position in the global apparel sourcing landscape.
