The Bangladesh-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) successfully organized a distinguished welcome ceremony and reception in honor of H.E. Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh on 30 October 2025 at Le Meridien, Dhaka.

Welcome Remarks by Mr. M. Maksud, Outgoing President, BGCCI followed by Formal Handover of the Presidency to the newly elected President Mr. Md. Rokonuzzzaman, FCA. He said, Bangladesh-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) is committed to promoting bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration between Bangladesh and Germany. Through its initiatives, BGCCI aims to facilitate sustainable business growth, knowledge exchange, and cultural understanding.
Newly elected BGCCI President Md. Rokonuzzaman, FCA outlined a strategic vision focused on boosting German investment in key sectors like renewable energy and technology. He also emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to advocating for business stability and policy clarity during Bangladesh’s current political transition.
H.E. Dr. Rüdiger Lotz expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations. He emphasized avenues for sustainable economic cooperation, innovation, and people-to-people engagement, reaffirming Germany’s continued support for Bangladesh’s development goals.
Mr. Navaneetha Krishnan, Vice President of BGCCI, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for honoring the new ambassador.
