Anwar Hossain, Administrator of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), held a meeting with Kihak Sung, Chairman of Youngone Corporation, at the InterContinental hotel in Dhaka.

BGMEA Support Committee Member Mr. Asif Ashraf was also present during the discussion held on April 10.
At the outset, Anwar Hossain congratulated Kihak Sung on being awarded honorary citizenship of Bangladesh in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the industry and the country’s economy.
Anwar Hossain and Kihak Sung exchanged views on trade and investment potential of Bangladesh, particularly the apparel and textile sector.
They emphasized the importance of innovation and knowledge-sharing in enhancing the competitiveness of the industry, especially in the area of non-cotton textiles and high-value garment production.
Anwar Hossain highlighted that Youngone Corporation, with its expertise in non-cotton and high-performance apparel, can be a strategic partner in enhancing Bangladesh’s capabilities in product development and innovative capacity building.
He also encouraged Youngone to deepen its engagement more with Bangladesh by increasing investment and expanding its sourcing of apparel from the country.
Anwar Hossain praised Kihak Sung for his longstanding support and contributions to the development of Bangladesh’s garment sector, referring to him as a true friend of Bangladesh. He also urged Kihak Sung to continue his efforts in attracting more foreign investment to the country.
