BGMEA, Buyers’ Forum meeting held

Today (November 6), representatives of the Buyers’ Forum held a meeting with Md. Anwar Hossain, Administrator of the BGMEA, at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, to discuss the current state of the garment industry and its sustainable growth.

The meeting was attended by the members of the Support Committee of BGMEA.

The meeting covered contemporary issues of the garment industry, including discussions on how to further increase garment exports from Bangladesh.

In the meeting, BGMEA Administrator Md. Anwar Hossain expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to global brands for their unwavering support and cooperation towards Bangladesh’s garment industry.

He also urged the brand representatives to continue this support and cooperation in the future.

Md. Anwar Hossain stated that the Bangladesh garment industry has made significant progress in areas such as creating a safe working environment, environmental sustainability, and workers’ welfare.

He urged global brands to highlight these achievements on the global stage.

Representatives from global garment brands currently sourcing from Bangladesh, including H&M, Marks & Spencer, VF Corporation, Gemo, Celio, Gap, OUS, Auchan, CSS, Allure Sourcing, Otto International, and El Cortes Engels, were present at the meeting.
