BGMEA Cup 2022 kicks off

The 6th edition of BGMEA Cup kicked off at Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti Field on January 20.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan inaugurated the inter-garment tournament.

BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Vice President Miran Ali, Directors Abdullah Hil Rakib and Mijanur Rahman, players of the participated teams were present at the inaugural ceremony.

In the opening match, defending champion Bando Design Ltd was held to a 0-0 draw by Tusuka Group.

Mid and upper-managements of 16 garment factories in Bangladesh are participating in the BGMEA Cup 2022. They are – Fakir Fashions Ltd, Team Group, Babylon Group, Epyllion Group, Setara Group, Sayem Group, Mosharaf Apparels Studio Ltd, Snowtex Outerwear Ltd, Laila Group, Apparels Village Ltd, Comfit by Youth Group, Sterling Group, Apparel Industry, Torque Fashions, Tusuka Group and Bando Design Ltd.

The 16 teams will be divided into four groups. The group stage matches will be played at Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti filed. The final match will be held at the Army Stadium at a later date.
