BGMEA participated in VisionSpring Bangladesh’s 25th Anniversary Partnership Event as an advocacy partner. Independent research, including a randomized controlled trial, found that providing reading glasses to workers increased productivity by 5.7%, generated an additional $156 in annual factory gains per worker, and delivered a 269% return on investment for manufacturers.

BGMEA has played a significant role in advancing the initiative through sustained advocacy, advocating VisionSpring’s Clear Vision Workplaces program among its member factories.

In recognition of its contribution, BGMEA received an Advocacy Partner Award from VisionSpring Bangladesh. The partnership continues to strengthen efforts to ensure access to clear vision for RMG workers nationwide.

Ms. Rumana Rashid and Ms. Fahima Akter, Directors of BGMEA, received the award on behalf of the association.
