Desk Report: BGMEA President Faruque Hassan attended the 1st convocation ceremony of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) as a speaker. In his speech Faruque Hassan called upon the graduates to use their knowledge for the greater benefit of society, the country and the world as a whole. Terming educated youth as agents of change, he urged the graduates to continue pursuit of excellence in their respective fields and contribute to the development of Bangladesh.
He said, “Proving the cynics wrong, Bangladesh has secured a prestigious position as a development surprise with impressive developments in many socio-economic fronts. Bangladesh is moving ahead steadily along the path of prosperity under the visionary leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Our young and talented graduates have a strong role to play in taking Bangladesh to the next level of development.”
He also urged them contribute to the development of the RMG industry, saying educated and skilled professionals are needed in the industry to face the future challenges and strengthen standing of Bangladesh in the global apparel export market.
