Newly elected President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Faruque Hassan has paid her tributes to the Rana Plaza collapse victims.
On April 24, a team of BGMEA, headed by Faruque Hassan placed wreaths on the graves of the victims at the Jurain graveyard in Dhaka, on the eighth anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse,
BGMEA Directors Md. Mohiuddin Rubel, Tanvir Ahmed, Md. Khosru Chowdhury, Abdullah Hil Rakib and Rajiv Chowdhury were present on the occasion. They prayed for the souls of the deceased.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan expressed BGMEA’s commitment to carry forward the significant accomplishments made on workplace safety in Bangladesh. He also said that Bangladesh will continue to be a safe and sustainable hub of apparel sourcing for the whole world.
