BGMEA President meets Cabinet Secretary, requests govt to open industries immediately

Today BGMEA President Faruque Hassan presided over a meeting with Khandker Anwarul Islam, Cabinet Secretary, and K M Ali Azam, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration at the Secretariate to apprise them of the overall industry situation amid the pandemic and the ongoing lockdown across the country.

He requested the government for opening industries immediately considering the overall industry situation and urgency.
The cabinet secretary assured that he would convey the request to the highest level of the government for due consideration.

Former BGMEA President Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, BKMEA President A.K.M. Salim Osman, MP, FBCCI President Md. Jashim Uddin, former BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman, DCCI President Rizwan Rahman, Acting President of BTMA Md. Fazlul Haoque, BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, First Vice President of BKMEA Mohammad Hatem and BKMEA Vice-President (Finance) Md. Morshed Sarwar (Sohel) were also present at the meeting.
