On 16th September in Bangkok, BGMEA Director Sheikh H M Mustafiz and RBH Coordinator Sheikh Shuchita Jahan Sneha represented the Bangladesh RMG industry at the UNRBHR Forum Asia-Pacific. They took part in a panel discussion titled “Enhancing the Human Rights Mindset: Interactive Dialogue with Businesses”, organized by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and GIZ. The session was moderated by Roxana Hilloo, Executive – SustainMarkets, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Michael Klode, Head of Program, STILE II, GIZ.

Mr. Mustafiz emphasized the importance of shared responsibility across the supply chain, noting that sustainability cannot be achieved through one-sided investment. Ms. Sneha highlighted both the opportunities and challenges in implementing Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence for manufacturers.

The UNRBHR Forum continues to be a crucial platform for amplifying Bangladesh’s voice, fostering collaboration, and shaping a future where business growth and human rights go hand in hand.
