BGMEA signed MoU with Lectra to enhance training quality, boost employability, and help align Bangladesh’s RMG sector

BGMEA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lectra, the global leader in CAD/CAM and digital solutions for the fashion and textile industry.

This partnership will strengthen education, research, and skill development by integrating Lectra’s advanced design and product-development technology into BGMEA’s training programs for students and industry professionals.

The signing ceremony was attended by Pascal Pierra, Vice President of Lectra, along with the Aamra Resource Team as the local agent. From BGMEA, Acting President Inamul Haq Khan, Director Nafis-Ud-Doula, and Jabed Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of the SDP Standing Committee, were present with the SDP Team.

This collaboration will enhance training quality, boost employability, and help align Bangladesh’s RMG sector with global technological standards—marking an important step toward innovation and digital transformation.

Together, BGMEA and Lectra aim to build a smarter, more future-ready apparel industry for Bangladesh.
