In a landmark move for the Bangladeshi fashion industry, the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and the Hohenstein Institute Bangladesh joined forces, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that promises to revolutionize education, research, and product safety practices.
The agreements were signed by Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Regional Chief of South-East Asia (Hohenstein Group) and Mr. Md. Shafiul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT. Other notable members of the Board of Trustees, including Founder Chairman Mr. Muzaffar U. Siddique and Mr. Md. Faruque Hassan, BoT Member and former President of BGMEA, BUFT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Eng. Ayub Nabi Khan, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil, and Deans, Academic, and Administrative Heads, along with Zahirul Islam Zaheer (Vice Present-Hohenstein Institute Bangladesh), Aklima Khatun Sr. General Manager (Audit and certification-Hohenstein Institute Bangladesh) and Johny Yasmin Kanta (Sr. General Manager-Hohenstein Laboratories Bangladesh Limited) graced the event with their presence.
