BKMEA and JETRO discussions covered key issues including Bangladesh–Japan trade trends, the EPA situation

A courtesy meeting was held between the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) at the BKMEA Dhaka office today.

BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem and JETRO Country Representative Mr. Kazuki Kataoka led the bilateral discussions. On behalf of BKMEA, the President welcomed the JETRO delegation with a souvenir.

Also present at the meeting were BKMEA Director Mr. Rajib Chowdhury, JETRO Representative Mr. Tomotaka Minoura, and JETRO Senior Director Mr. Shariful Alam.

The discussions covered key issues including Bangladesh–Japan trade trends, the EPA situation, LDC graduation, competitiveness between the two countries and current challenges requiring government support for improvement.
