Bluesign CEO 1

bluesign technologies ag is proud to announce the participation of CEO Daniel Rufenacht at the upcoming Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) North American Leadership Conference, scheduled for May 5-7, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The PPAI is a 14,000+ member strong association made up of suppliers and distributors of promotional products and services including specialty advertising, branded apparel, business gifts, premiums, incentives, and recognition awards.

bluesign’s Daniel Rufenacht will be joining Josh Ellis, Editor-in-Chief of PPAI, and Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of Cybergroup International , a bluesign system partner and a leader in the promotional products segment in Europe, for a dynamic panel discussion. The panel “European Union: An International Partnership Models the Possibility of Sustainable Solution” will tackle unique challenges faced by the industry and explore the vast opportunities for U.S. promotional products companies to follow in the footsteps of successful European partners such as Ide House of Brands in Norway and Cybergroup International in Germany. With sustainability in the promotional products domain just beginning to gain traction in North America, bluesign is poised to be recognized as a trailblazer in guiding this market segment towards greener practices and conscious chemical management across their supply chains.

A global force for change since 2000, bluesign® technologies monitors the complex journey of textile products from the chemical level to the final product. The bluesign team includes chemical and textile engineers, as well as specialists who oversee a robust system of factory auditing and certification. Daniel Rufenacht’s presence at the conference is particularly significant as he will be addressing the pressing issues the promotional products industry faces, comparing promotional merchandise to disposable fast fashion. The time has come for the industry to ‘clean up its act,’ and bluesign’s message is clear – sustainability is not just a buzzword but an urgent call to action. Bluesign’s expertise in chemical usage stewardship and sustainable manufacturing practices has been instrumental in the apparel industry for over two decades. Their partnership with PPAI marks a commitment to share this knowledge and experience with members across the association, aiming to bring about transformative, sustainable change.

We are able to offer pre-panel interview access to bluesign CEO Daniel Rufenacht, Dale Denham, MAS+, President and CEO of PPAI, and Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of Cybergroup International to share their insights as their upcoming conversation is set to be a catalyst for promotional products industry-wide change. Please let us know if you would be interested in speaking with them.
