Brands Fashion GmbH won Fair Trade 2022 Award

Fairtrade Germany honors the most outstanding players in fair trade. Brands Fashion won over the jury in the Industry category.

Brands Fashion is a pioneer for fair and sustainable clothing. The Buchholz company is the first company in the world to offer clothing with the Fairtrade textile seal, thereby ensuring that the working conditions and wages of workers along the processing chain are improved and their rights strengthened.

BRANDS Fashion is Europe’s market leader for sustainable workwear. Since 2002 they have been developing high-quality and fashionable workwear for well-known companies in Europe and the USA. It is their goal to convince customers of a sustainable way and to develop and produce tailor-made workwear and merchandising concepts in a social and environmentally friendly way. They focus on full transparency from cotton cultivation and yarn production to the finished yard goods and ready-to-wear garments and offer a complete solution for all needs: from design and production to final logistics.

As part of the Fairtrade Textile Standard, Brands Fashion is working together with SAGS Apparels and supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH and Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) to introduce living wages throughout the whole supply chain.

Projects and candidates in the categories trade, industry, newcomer and innovation were nominated by a jury for the Fairtrade Awards 2022. The civil society category and the young talent award were open to application. The audience award was chosen by the Fairtrade community in an online vote.
