Brands Fashion’s capacity building program on ‘Environment Management for Brands’ Supply Chain’ organized by Reed Consultancy

Desk Report: A capacity building program for Brands Fashion, focusing on the ‘Environment Management for Brands’ Supply Chain’ organized by Reed Consultancy, Bangladesh, was held on 31 October 2022 at Six Seasons Hotel in the capital. 57 participants from 29 factories where 17 have wet processing facilities attended the program.

This capacity-building program covered: Climate challenges, policy, goals, actions, National Chemical Management requirements, Technical sessions on Chemical Management, Best practices on Chemical Management, Recent trends in green chemistry, new development and, Sustainability from Environmental Perspective.

Shamim Ahmed, Group Manager, CSR &Sustainability, Triton Textile Ltd Md. Anwarul Islam, Consultant-Sustainability of Reed Consultancy Bangladesh; Dr. Mohammad Abbas Uddin, CText FTI, Asst. Professor and Head Department of Dyes and Chemical Engineering (DCE), Bangladesh University of Textiles Dr. Masud Rana, Brands Fashion; Dr. Shoeb Ahmed, Prof. Dept of Chemical Engineering, BUET; Rashadur Rahman, Momtex Expo Ltd; Gundolf Klaehn, Head of Environment, GIZ Textile Asia spoke at the capacity building program.

Reed Consultancy organised this capacity-building program for Brands Fashion and they have been active in Bangladesh and others since 2006, with a tagline ‘assisting the industries to grow sustainably.’
