A press conference for the upcoming Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition (BTKG Expo 2026) was held today at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.

The four-day international exhibition will begin on April 29 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) and continue until May 2, 2026.
The event is jointly organized by the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Infochain Digital Technology Co., Ltd.. The press conference was attended by BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem, Expo Vice Chairman Fazle Shamim Ehsan, and Executive Director of Infochain Spencer Lin, along with industry leaders and media representatives.
Speaking at the event, Mohammad Hatem highlighted the importance of Bangladesh’s ready-made garments (RMG) sector as a key driver of the national economy. He noted that the sector generated approximately $39 billion in export earnings during the 2024–25 fiscal year, contributing more than 80 percent of the country’s total exports.
He also emphasized the urgent need for adopting advanced technologies, improving efficiency, and ensuring sustainable practices to maintain competitiveness in the global market. He added that international exhibitions like BTKG Expo play a crucial role in fostering industry growth and innovation.
The expo is expected to host around 1,000 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries, featuring more than 1,200 booths spread across 20,000 square meters. Participants from countries including China, Japan, India, Turkey, and the UAE will showcase a wide range of products and technologies.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in textile machinery, dyeing solutions, knitting and weaving technologies, embroidery, garment manufacturing, and finishing processes. The exhibition will remain open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
