The Textile club of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a webinar on “Roles and Responsibilities of a Merchandiser in Production Management” in the evening of July 10, 2021. The program was streamed live on official Facebook page of BUBT. Professor Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, BUBT graced the webinar as the Chief Guest.
Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Md. Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Department of Textile Engineering, Ms. Eshita Datta, Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering, BUBT spoke as the Special Guests while Md. Giyas Uddin, Executive, Central Production Department, Four H Group delivered the Keynote speech and Sadia Mehrin, Moderator, BUBT Textile Club was the Session Chair.
The webinar focused on different aspects of RMG merchandising. Speakers emphasized on skill development, research and innovation to face various challenges in the garment sector. Professor Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, BUBT said that quality control in RMG sector is extremely important for survival in the global trade competitions.
