A significant MoU Signing Ceremony was held between BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and Mithela Group, the country’s only LEED Platinum certified woven textile manufacturer. At the same event, two other renowned organizations associated with the textile and industrial sectors AKH Group and Northern Tosifa also signed separate MoUs, further strengthening industry–academia collaboration.
The event was graced by Faruk Hasan, Chairman of BUFT and Former President of BGMEA, as the Chief Guest.
Md. Mahbub Khan Himel, Director of Mithela Group, attended the ceremony as a Special Guest. Under this MoU, Mithela Group will provide direct practical training, internship opportunities, and employment prospects for BUFT’s top ten students. The company has also committed to long-term collaboration with BUFT to help develop a skilled workforce for the industry.
Speaking at the event, Faruk Hasan stated, “It is not possible to develop a skilled workforce without practical, hands-on training alongside theoretical education. Such MoUs create a real bridge between industry and academia. This partnership with Mithela Group will take the quality of our education to a new level.”
